Check-Up

A Thorough Evaluation

A check-up consists of a thorough exam of your teeth and possible x-rays to assess your dental health. You will be screened for early tooth decay, oral cancer, and other complications. We recommend that you come in for a check-up and cleaning every 6 months to detect and prevent dental issues.

Cleaning

Remove Plaque And Tartar

A preventive technique, professional cleaning removes plaque and tartar build-up from your teeth. We begin with using a scaler for plaque and tartar removal, and then use an electric brush with gritty toothpaste for a deeper clean.

Fillings

Fill Cavities & Fix Chipped Teeth

A filling prevents further decay by sealing off cavities or open spaces left vulnerable to bacteria. Fillings also fix a chipped or worn-down tooth by filling in for missing enamel. The procedure may require anesthetic to numb the local area, a cleaning and preparation of the cavity, filling and drying with a special light, and a polish of the finished area.

X-Rays

Detect Hidden Issues

X-rays serve as a preliminary process to evaluate your overall oral health and to help diagnose any problems. They are also sometimes used as a follow-up after a dental procedure has been completed. With an x-ray, our health practitioners are able to look out for gum disease, root changes, abscess or cysts, impacted teeth and more.

Fluoride Treatment

Fight Decay & Strengthen Your Teeth

Acids from bacteria and sugars lead to mineral loss from the enamel of your teeth, which can lead to tooth decay. In fluoride treatment, a fluoride gel is applied to your teeth for several minutes to restore essential minerals, strengthen the enamel, and prevent cavities.

Preventive Care Tips

Brush And Floss Correctly

Begin taking preventive care of your teeth by implementing these brush and floss tips. With the bristles at a 45-degree angle, brush your teeth in a circular motion. We recommend brushing your teeth for 2 minutes at least twice a day, using a fluoride toothpaste. To floss efficiently, gently glide floss down between your teeth in a sawing motion, then to a C-shaped curve at the gum line around a tooth. Learn more dental tips at your next appointment.
